About Us

The Noank Mystic Hospital TeamRaising the Bar on the Standard of Care.

Dr. Christopher Otka and his wife Deborah acquired Noank-Mystic Veterinary Hospital on Jan. 3, 2012. Their vision is to provide the highest quality veterinary care to your pets and to exceed the expectations of current and future clients. Since the beginning of 2012, the Otkas have been updating and modernizing our facility and equipment. Dr. Otka and the staff work every day to achieve the goals set forth in our hospital slogan: Raising the bar on the standard of care. We are now accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), dedicated to the highest standard of excellence in veterinary medicine.

We incorporate modern, state-of-the-art equipment, exam rooms, pharmacy, laboratory, and other medical assets into a facility that promotes a calm, home-like atmosphere for our clients and their pets. Our surgical suites are equipped with up-to-date surgery and monitoring technology.

Part of our commitment to raising the bar on the standard of care is that we are also diligent about promoting client education and responsible pet ownership. We recognize that providing the highest quality veterinary care includes keeping you, our clients, at the center of all we do. After all, we are pet owners ourselves and understand how important it is to be received and treated by a staff that is knowledgeable, welcoming, and courteous. It is our goal not just to ensure the health and wellbeing of your pet, but to be your partner in strengthening the bond you share with your pet. We will thoroughly discuss any diagnosis, as well as the various options of treatment, with you before we continue with your pet's healthcare plan.

We provide veterinary care for dogs, cats and more. About 15 to 20 percent of our patients are exotic pets. We see various avian species and treat rodents, pocket pets, rabbits, reptiles and many more.

Wellness packages are available for puppies and kittens that include core examinations, vaccinations, deworming, fecal checks, blood testing, spay/neuter procedures and microchip implantation. A geriatric package is also available that includes senior bloodwork at reduced cost and includes the examination fee.

Despite the most advanced care and nurturing, however, a beloved pet may still develop an illness or be injured. Our internal medicine and surgical expertise, as well as our advanced diagnostics and veterinary laboratory, will ensure your pet receives a timely and accurate diagnosis. Dr. Otka is certified with PennHIP, a breakthrough method of canine hip joint evaluation.
